About New Life Church of the Nazarene

New Life Church of the Nazarene is located in Miami, Oklahoma. Our beliefs are based on the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. Our Mission: New Life Church of the Nazarene exists to B.U.I.L.D the Kingdom of God. We strive to love God and love Others as Jesus taught us to.

Our purpose is to B.U.I.L.D. the Kingdom of God by helping people Belong, Understanding others, Investing relationally, spiritually, and in the Kingdom, Leading in both words and actions, and developing Disciples of Christ.

We invite you to come and check us out this weekend at one of our worship services. We know that going to a new church can be intimidating, so we try to do things in a way where you’ll feel welcome and not like an outsider. When you come, you can participate or sit back and observe. You’ll discover a warm atmosphere, practical teaching from God's Word, and many friendly people pursuing God together. We also have childcare and classes for all ages.

God made a promise in the Bible that if we seek after Him, we’ll find Him. You are a valued part of God’s creation, and His deep desire is to have a relationship with you. So come and join us as we pursue God together!

Faith

At New Life, we are part of the Nazarene denomination. The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian denomination rooted in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. It was established in 1908 to promote holiness and a deeper spiritual life, emphasizing personal and social holiness.

WE ARE A HOLINESS PEOPLE

Our journey is one that has been entered upon by many who have come before us and who now walk beside us. Many have taken this less-traveled path. Many have ventured into this incredible life in Jesus. Many have left footprints of faith, hope, and love that encourage us as we follow. We identify ourselves with the historical roots of the Christian faith and the community of Christ followers throughout the ages.

WE ARE A CHRISTIAN PEOPLE

We believe that God sent His Son, Jesus THE Christ, to die for our sins so that we could experience His forgiveness and enter into a personal relationship with Him. Although we believe that God loves us just as we are, we have come to realize that He loves us too much to leave us there. When we enter into a relationship with Him, we are not only forgiven, but we begin the journey of transformation from the inside out. God wants to re-create and reshape our lives as they were intended. He wants to mold us into His image, to make us Holy.

WE ARE A MISSIONAL PEOPLE

When we enter into a relationship with Jesus, we enter into a life of God's amazing grace and blessings. However, our journey with Jesus teaches us that experiencing the blessing of God's grace is not an end in itself. We are blessed to become a blessing, and we are saved to serve. As God fills our lives with His grace, His love cannot be contained. It overflows in our words, actions, and attitudes. God has something for us to do while we are here on Earth! We are called to express the Good News of Jesus to the world.

Family

At New Life, we value the family and believe that church should be a place for people of all ages. Every Sunday, we provide children's ministries alongside our regular services, which provide an age-appropriate environment for kids to encounter Christ.

Leadership

New Life is guided by a leadership team who provide overall direction and watch over the spiritual needs of the church. Our pastor provides sound, practical, biblical teaching at each worship service. He has received theological and pastoral training and is equipped to share God's love with our local community. New Life is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will.
